First aid when the drain is blocked
- Stop the water. Tap off, don’t start the dishwasher or washing machine.
- Try a plunger – for washbasins and showers hold the overflow shut, then pump vigorously.
- Check the trap – under the washbasin it can usually be unscrewed by hand and emptied (put a bucket underneath).
- No chemicals. They rarely solve the problem and make the cleaning afterwards more dangerous.
- If it still doesn’t drain: 0179 915 09 39 – we come.
Blocked drain – where exactly?
Washbasin: usually hair and soap in the trap or directly behind it. Shower and bathtub: hair, limescale and skin flakes, often deeper in the pipe. Kitchen sink: grease that hardens in the pipe bend. Toilet: paper, wet wipes, foreign objects. Floor drain in the basement: often a backflow from the underground line – act quickly here before water pushes into the basement.
When you should stop trying yourself
- Several drains are affected at the same time
- Water pushes up from a drain when something is flushed elsewhere
- It smells of sewage, walls or floor are getting damp
- Plunger and trap cleaning haven’t helped
In these cases the blockage is deeper in the line. We find it with an auger or camera and remove it – cleanly, quickly and with a fixed price quoted in advance. Everywhere in Berlin and the surrounding area, day and night.
Frequently asked questions
How fast can you be here when the drain is blocked?
In Berlin usually within an hour. On the phone you get a firm arrival time and the price.
How much does it cost to clear a blocked drain?
We tell you in advance on the phone – depending on where the blockage is. No surprises on the invoice.
Can I pour boiling water down the drain?
Harmless with metal pipes; with plastic pipes only hot, not boiling water. It helps briefly against grease, but not against hair or deeper plugs.
I am a tenant – who pays?
For blockages caused by normal use the landlord is often responsible. We issue a detailed invoice that you can pass on.
